The functioning of the cultural and artistic industry has a life cycle of its own.
It starts with artistic and individual creation, fostered by patrons/sponsors, passing through the circuits of galleries and other exhibition venues, which assume themselves as disseminators and diffusers, until reaching the final buyer, private or institutional, who completes the cycle by acquiring and/or or sponsor the artists. This end of cycle can mean the beginning of another one, when the acquired works are put back for sale.
